The PWVC x RÆBURN Collection

Made and RÆMADE In England

Our first collaboration with responsible design pioneers RÆBURN, offers a carefully considered capsule collection consisting of five limited-edition styles, crafted with responsibility at its forefront.

Garments take inspiration from original military references adapting and creating a new iteration, each side reflecting and celebrating the partnership, localised production and the colliding of worlds. Private White V.C. with a focus on craft, high quality and luxurious finishes and RÆBURN proudly reflecting repurposed materials.

The Reversible Field Jacket is the star of the show in this collection which tells a story of two sides: one half uses Ventile®, the weatherproof cloth that improved the survival rates of RAF pilots during World War Two. The other is Remade from authentic military parachute canopies. Both sides constituting unprecedented style and practicality.

Words by Christopher Raeburn

“Private White V.C has long been a bastion for the best of British manufacturing; I was fortunate enough to visit the iconic factory in Manchester nearly a decade ago and was struck by the quality of each item produced, the incredible team on site and the history to be found throughout the building. Having the opportunity to work on this unique project has been an honour and I believe we’ve produced a truly unique capsule of products which brings out the best of both RÆBURN and Private White V.C."

Christopher Raeburn, Creative Director RÆBURN

The complete Private White V.C. × RÆBURN collection is traditionally reconstructed and hand-made in our Private White V.C. headquarters, which proudly stands as the last remaining clothing factory in Manchester.

Garments have been adjusted to maximise material usage on the roll, being assembled using any waste cuts from the production line resulting in a collection providing unprecedented style and practicality. In total, the whole collaboration saw us recycling 23 Surplus Air force military parachutes.

James Eden, PWVC CEO & Founder explains “I first met Christopher on a Trade Mission to Tokyo with the British government, about 10 years ago. I was in awe of his work back then and I am even more inspired by the trail he continues to blaze today. There are very few designers in the world that can rival his pedigree, and passion. It is an absolute pleasure and privilege to be working with him and his team."
