Our debut collaboration with Amsterdam-based sustainable denim pioneers Tenue. offers a capsule collection consisting of eleven made-to-last iconic styles reminiscent of old school American sportswear.
The capsule embodies the meeting of two vibrant European brands, from very different backgrounds, coming together with a shared passion and appreciation for manufacturing some of the world’s finest garments. Our devotion and speciality resides in Great British Luxury Clothing, whereas Tenue.’s lies in a dissimilar world of vintage sportswear – originating in Amsterdam from internationally recognised denim store Tenue de Nimes.

Our founder James Eden explains: “For the past decade Menno has been one of the most revered and respected taste makers in mainland Europe. When he enquired about a potential partnership I was so flattered and equally excited. There are very few out there that can match Menno’s eye or his effortless style and I hope that his flare for design and our fascination with cut and quality shines through.”

The iconic Varsity Jacket stands prominently as the cornerstone of the Tenue. capsule, drawing inspiration from the iconic 90’s vintage silhouette. An everyday essential crafted to last a lifetime. Fabricated from UK woven 100% melton wool and luxurious leather sleeves.
Designed in Amsterdam and handmade in England.

Tenue. founder Menno Van Meurs explains: “There’s a few pieces I see as one with the heritage of jeans. The varsity jacket is one of those beautiful classic items. An iconic piece I wanted to put in the hands of a real outerwear connoisseur. There is no other factory that I know of in Europe, with more expertise and more history in creating the best outerwear. I wanted to make a piece by people that are so crazy about garments the way we are crazy about jeans.”

Other highlights include four contemporary jean designs that compliment the varsity jacket together with a series of meticulously produced jersey essentials that are guaranteed to stand the test of time, and more crucially, wear, as they have been fabricated from the finest long-staple 100% Egyptian cotton yarns.
“I've not been a day without my Penn Arroyo”, Menno says. “It’s quite a heavy 14-ounce, salt and pepper, beautiful, stonewashed denim. It's nice and sturdy and looks vintage. It's great for men and very versatile. It's the sort of style that shows what jeans are all about - whether you're very slim and 18 or a bigger size and older, it doesn't matter. Whenever you pick your size, it'll look absolutely amazing.”
